Would you rather...?

Saw this tag on another blog and thought I'd give it a go.

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
All my palettes and eyeshadows would bother me the least I think, got to have my mascara!

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Never be able to cut it again - anyone who knows me knows that my hair (when straight) is just at the base of my back and it's all natural - I could not get this cut off and I don't think it will grow much longer anyway.

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Hmm, pink probably - I've just started doing a coral cheek but I think I'll always be a pink cheek kind of person.

If you had £1000 to spend, Would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Make up without a doubt!

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Erm, well as I only tend to wear black eyeliner I don't fancy having black lips - so probably would rather wear lipstick as eyeliner.

Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Don't think there is a Sephora in the UK so it would have to be MAC which I have no complaints about.

Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
Ahh, this is a hard one cause I always like to change them both often, if I had to chose it would be eye colour and I'd just stick to a brown two tone eyeshadow and then make the look funky with a bold lip.

Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Staying in Scotland we hardly get a "summer" but I'd still rather wear summer clothes in winter as I hate being too hot in big jumpers etc.

Would you rather dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright nails - easily the best way to brighten up an outfit, I have far too many nail polishes.

Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
Favorite lip product as I couldn't go without my eyebrow kit!

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?
A pony tail as this is the look that I wear the majority of the time.

Would your rather never being able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
Never use lipgloss, I'm a lipstick kind of girl anyway ;).

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? or sharpie them in everyday?
Sharpie them in, I couldn't not have eyebrows at all.

Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Nail polish, I'd just use wraps in place of them.

Day to day make up

For my first make up related post I thought I'd give you all a run down on the make up that I use daily, without fail. The majority of the products I use are from high street stores, and all bought from my own money - these products are my own preference and not all the products I use will suit your skin type/tone - this blog is just for fun, and if I help you make any beauty decisions then even better!

This is the first and only primer I've ever used/tried and as it works for me I've stuck to using it - sometimes I forget to wear it though as with the foundation I use I don't find it an essential.

I have tried many foundations however I saw a review on this product and thought I'd give it a shot, I find this foundation long lasting and prefer it to dearer foundations which I also have - I think this is one I will stick with as I really like it, it's consistency is quite creamy and light, and I'm certain there is various shades available in this range. The shade which I use is 100 ivory. When I have fake tan on however, I tend to mix this with a small amount of MAC Studio Fix in NW18 as this product itself is too light for me with a tan.

Bronzing powder

Being from Scotland I'm naturally quite pale so I find bronzing powder is a must have, one which I always come back to is this one by Fake Bake, the only down side to this is I'm certain they only have the one shade which is quite sad as it's a great product and also has small glittery particles in it for shimmer (which you can't see in this picture), and it's paraben free, yay! (as are all Fake Bake products).

L'Oreal volume million lashes - gives the best volume and length to the shortest of lashes, doesn't clog the lashes up either which is a bonus, also even though I have dark features I tend to wear brown/black mascara instead of just black, not sure why just a preference which I have.

I know it's totally dirty but as you can tell this product is well used, my eyebrows being drawn in (or in my case, shadowed in) is a must in my beauty routine, and I tend to make my eyebrows quite a bit thicker and square them off. Jane Iredale make up is the make up which I was trained in at college and is mineral based, I wouldn't normally use mineral products as I find they don't give much coverage but I LOVE Jane Iredale products, especially this one, and just ordered another one through my college just before I left. They only have a brown and blonde in the range. I use the brown one. There is also a wee wax in the kit and 3 brushes along with the shadow!

I don't tend to wear eyeshadow on a day to day basis however if for some reason I were to, it would be a brown smokey eye, the eyeshadows which I use are from this palette from ebay, but I do have the odd random ones which aren't in this palette.

Daily I don't tend to wear lipstick but just usually lipgloss, again this is another Fake Bake product and doesn't have a name to link it to however, I'd call it bubblegum as it smells like it so much I could eat the lipgloss! It's not too severe and gives off a lovely shine!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

This is literally my first EVER blog post - ahhh! As my first blog I thought I'd let you all know a bit about me, so here goes.

My name is Natalie (Catherine is my middle name hence the blog name), I'm 20 years young ;) and stay in Scotland, which tbf isn't all that fun! Random fact - I'm also probably the only Scot that hasn't watched 'Braveheart' the full way through, such a let down I know. Anyway.. my main point to creating a blog is that I've just recently completed my HND Beauty Therapy (not sure the English equivalent to that, sorry)! So anyway, I thought right it's officially my summer holidays and to keep me occupied whilst looking for a job how can I spend the rest of my time doing something beauty related? Tada, blogging obvs! The main blog posts will be reviewing make up that I have bought and make up looks which I have tried out for fun. I'll also throw in some random blogs about myself and things I've been up to.

Also I would like to state that all views/opinions in this blog are enitrely my own and I am only speaking from my own experiences with the products which I will speak about in my blog. However, if I happen to influence you into buying products which I speak about and they work for you then all is good! I know I have went out my way to buy products which I have saw reviewed by other bigger names out there in the blogging world and some have worked for me and some haven't done so quite as well but it's all about trial and error! I would also like to state not everything needs to be high end - the majority of the products I will speak about will be drug store products which I find just as good, if not better than some dearer products on the market.

Also, just for the sake of this blog I will state that my skin type is combination incase anyone wants to try out face products which I review.

-update- I now have a job, yay!

Hope you enjoy,

Natalie xx
