My 2013 in Pictures!

These pictures are in no order at all , if anything the fringe one should be last but heyho! You'll know which paragraph relates to which picture when you read it, as it will be kind of self explanatory.

I attended my college prom woopwoop! This occurred in June after a lot of preparation (I'm the one in the aqua dress). I genuinely love this photo as it's a picture of me and the girls who where at the college from day one, so we where literally the only remaining one's who had been there from the very first day. After having left school in 4th year and not staying on for my school prom I'm grateful to have had one at college - especially since it was "Vegas" themed, oh I also won an award for "Most Likely to Cry at Prom" - and I didn't disappoint, emotional wreck haha!

This one is quite random, but I have a severe LOVE for Boyzone so when I met Shane Lynch at his aftershave signing about 3 weeks ago I was overly excited, so much so that I asked him if I could take a "selfie" with him - it was the word of 2013 after all.

This next picture covers the topic of my best friend, I genuinely don't know where I'd be without this wee gem, got so much closer the past couple of years (even though we already were close to begin with) and I honestly tell her a lot of things, maybe a bit too much at times but I know it wouldn't go further - as cheesey as it sounds I know I could count on her with anything, dreaded leaving college cause I was scared in case we lost touch but if anything I see her more now - whether she likes it or not haha! Got plenty of exciting things occurring in 2014 which I can't wait for already!

Like I said at the start this picture should be last but who's caring?! haha. I went mental a few weeks back and got a full fringe cut in, which is rather stupid for someone who a- doesn't like change and b- hate's having hair down and around her face but I'm so pleased I took the plunge, I absolutely love it and it's made me realise change can be good.

This one is also slightly random, it's a picture I took at the JLS concert, hence the JLS coloured lights, and for anyone who knows me personally - which lets be honest none of you reading this probably do yet, I'm a slight bit obsessed with the JLS boys, so as you can imagine on the 24th of April this year (2 days before my 20th birthday) I was devastated when they announced their split. Luckily my best friend had already bought me tickets for their December tour which was now their "Goodbye" tour - so on the 7th of December this year I went and saw my boys in the Glasgow Hydro, for the 10TH and final time - bitter sweet moment, they didn't disappoint.

My amazing family - of course we have our arguments and what not but I love them so much, a highlight of 2013 was definitely the amount of time I spent with them - even if they are a bunch of nutters!

AHHHH I graduated, I genuinely can't believe I said that, little me graduating?! Crazy world, I now happily have an HND in Beauty Therapy.

These 4 little people are my entire world - my beautiful little cousins - watching them grow up is scary, I love them all millions and can't wait till I have an extra one to share my big cuddles and kisses with come the end of February, being a big cousin makes me the happiest person on earth and hearing them say "Natalie? I love you" makes my heart melt every time, and I'm not saying this just because they're family, they all are the smartest wee people you would ever come across, it honestly amazes me! I love you all!

"I Race for Life for my Granda" - I ran the Race for Life this year with one of my best friends and her friend, we completed it in under an hour which was great, obviously it was a day of mixed emotions - I ran for life in memory of my Granda who passed away from Cancer a few years ago, as well as for everyone else who has been beaten by the horrible disease or still fighting it, also as well as that I ran and completed the race as a big F*CK YOU to cancer for all they people who have beaten it like my gorgeous Mum!

Lastly - but certainly not least, I found out this year come January the 17th and 23rd two of my bestest friends in the entire world are expected to have babies! EEEEEK, lots of kisses and cuddles coming both the babies way's - Auntie Natalie is going to be spoiling you both like mad, and I have the pleasure of buying for both a girl and a boy as both my friends found out the sex of their babies!

- Of course there were other fun and exciting things that happened in my life throughout 2013 but these were by far the best. Roll on 2014 and the memories it will bring!

All I Want for Christmas Tag.

Hey lovelies, I was tagged by the lovely Caroline aka Cali from Cali Jae , well I'm just assuming it's me , there was no link tagged just the name Natalie so I'm taking it on board as it being me whether it is or isn't anyway you should all know by now I do love a tag haha!

1. If you received a $1,000 gift card for Christmas, would you want it to be to Sephora or Ulta?
okay I'm changing the $ to £ and also Sephora to M.A.C and Ulta to NARS - I'd want to spend £1000 in M.A.C cause I've already got a few M.A.C things and want to keep building my collection.

2.) What foundation would you NOT be thrilled about receiving for Christmas?
Anything that's matte cause this time of year my skin is major dry and matte foundations just make it 100 million times worse haha! (slightly drastic I know)

3.) If you had to choose one Naked Palette to receive for Christmas which one would it be? Basics, 1, 2, or 3.
I'd have to go with 1 , then add 2 and 3 on at my birthday haha!

4.) What's the first beauty product on your Christmas Wishlist?
A M.A.C eyeshadow palette (the build it yourself one).
5.) What do you plan on buying yourself for Christmas? Come on, we all do it!
Probably more Lush products (I say more because I know I'm already getting two box sets for Christmas) haha.

6.) What have you been buying from Starbucks this Holiday season?
I've been buying Caramel Latte's and Hot Chocolates , yummm!

7.) What are you planning on giving a family member, boyfriend, best friend, etc. for Christmas this year?
Well I have something different for each of them obviously, so I can't be bothered listing them - especially before Christmas in case any of them read this, I may do a post after Christmas.

8.) How detailed do you make your Christmas Wishlist?
I literally asked for 1 thing this year and that is as good as it got haha!

9.) Giving or Receiving? Why?
Receiving , because I'm tight with my money and hate spending it on other people the majority of the time, at least I'm honest lmao.

10.) What does Christmas mean to you?
Christmas means cosy family time and lots of alcohol!

If you're reading this, I then tag YOU!

The Blogmopolitan Quiz.

As an avid reader of Cosmopolitan I thought doing this post was a no brainer, I came across "the Blogmopolitan Quiz" on someones blog (apologies as I can't remember who's blog it was, oops) but what I do know is that it linked back to the lovely Erin from Two Thirds Hazel - you can read her post here , not only did she participate in this blog she also created it being a Cosmo reader herself, so I can totally empathise with her when it comes down to the Cosmo Quiz which the cover girl of that month does at the end of her interview , so this quiz is letting us take the limelight and be a celebrity for the day, dream come true!

If you want to participate you can download the blank version over on Erin's blog - and give her a follow whilst you're over there.

Secret Santa.

I participated in my first ever bloggers secret santa this year and I'm so glad I did, without doing so I wouldn't have recieved this amazing gift and I also wouldn't have got the chance to talk to the lovely Beky from BekyLou who I get on with so well, to be honest I was terrified in case I sent my parcel and I didn't recieve one back but within seconds of mailing back and fourth to Beky I knew I could trust her to pick some fab gifts for me - which she succeded with. Ideal.

What I received:

Seventeen Eyeshadow Palette: this is my first ever Seventeen product and although I've not tried it out yet I can't wait to do so! I'll give it a trial run this weekend as I have a night out planned!

Simple Eye Makeup Remover: I literally have every Simple product apart from this one so it was a great choice considering Beky didn't have a clue that this was the case.

Charles Worthington - Salon at Home Hairspray: strong hold hairspray is a winner for me - I find it super hard to find a hairspray that will hold my hair because of how long and thick it is, but this one seems to be working perfectly!

Hershey's Cookies & Chocolate: Yummmm, first time I've ever tried a Hershey's bar of chocolate , I want more... NOW!!

Pop Rocks Magic Popping Candy: Honestly you would think Beky knew me before she bought this for me because it's an ultimate favourite of mine! - Even though this particular one did turn my hands blue lmao!

Wonka Chocolate Nice Cream: This was like heaven melting in my mouth, enough said.

Soap and Glory Hand Food: Shockingly enough this is my first S&G product even though I'm always tempted to buy from the range , this is definitely a product I'll be repurchasing when done with! I love it, and it smells amazing!

Thanks again for my lovely gifts Beky, hope you liked yours also!

Lip Voltage - Worth It?

What is "Lip Voltage" ? Lip voltage is basically a lip filler in gloss version, no needles but still plenty of pain - that's exactly how I'd describe it to an alien. It uses peptides to create the look of a "filled" lip lasting up to 24 hours. You create your own intensity by mixing , one - two or even three drops of the gel into the gloss and applying like you would lip gloss. I'm not going to lie when I say this, it's the most agonising pain I've ever experienced! I felt like I was pouring scolding hot water over my lips for at least the first 10 minutes, I genuinely needed a fan to cool myself down. But the results as you can see are phenomenal, I basically have no top lip to begin with and in the after picture there is a huge difference.

Apparently it's a favourite amongst celebrities - the first person I saw use it was actually Holly Hagan from reality tv shore Geordie Shore. So if you want to give it a try , at £15 it won't break the bank and it will give you a plumped pout, but as the saying goes - "No Pain, No Gain" and you need to pretty much go by that saying if you want to use Lip Voltage.

You can get it from Wrinkle Regime but at the moment it's out of stock, any local salons to you will probably stock it as it seems to be the "in" thing just now.

Verdict? I'd buy it (as I trialled my friends to begin with) but use it sparingly, at £15 there isn't much to loose.

The Hair Diaries - BEWARE of major posing!

Top Left: I was about 13 in this picture , which was taken in school hence the school tie and it was the first time I'd ever done anything "drastic" to my hair, my hair had always been long (naturally curly) and brown and scraped back off my face as hair down and around my face annoyed the life out of me. I thought I was super cool and opted for super blonde highlights in my hair making it look a dirty brown colour. I tend to usually have my hair really long but sometimes I get the urge to chop it all off, which appears to be the case it this picture. Oh and a quiff was my signature look (a la snooki from jersey shore haha).

Top Right: Okay moving on to my ned (aka chav to other countries) look, total pout alert!!! Anyway usual look with a twist, hair scraped back with a long sweepy fringe (bangs), this was the in look at the time okay?!

Second Row Left: I must've been about 17 in this picture and had just dyed my hair purple for the first time using Schwarzkopf hair dye in Cyber Purple - it went a redish colour which is not what I was hoping for but I still kept it for a while (and later went back to it). Still clearly rocking the long side fringe (bangs).

Second Row Right: The majority of the purple (red) had grew out and I'd got my side fringe (bangs) cut shorter, and my hair was getting longer - yay!

Third Row Left: This was on the night of my 18th birthday hence the outfit and this is the longest my hair has ever been - and my fringe (bangs) had grown out by this point, my hairs naturally curly but when it's as long it just goes wavy, so I tend to just stick with this look but boost the natural waviness by shoving in some plaits before I go to bed then blast it with hair spray when I take them out. People are forever asking if my hair is my real hair haha!

Third Row Right: Same outfit (omg outfit repeater hahaha) I was going to a  friend of a friends 18th birthday party not long after I had turned 18, but the policy was if you were under 18 you had to leave at 9 and my friend hadn't yet turned 18 so we had to leave like 15 minutes after we arrived, so we ended up at a friends house seriously over dressed! haha. This was my hair at it's longest but straight instead of wavy this time. As you can see I've also opted for a large quiff in this picture as on this particular night I had no idea what to do with my hair and it was a warm night so I had to have it away from my face.

Fourth Row Left: I was at a "Girls Day Out" event with my Mum, cousins and aunties and was applying for every competition available so I had applied for a hair cut competition, which I ended up winning so I drastically got my hair chopped and a new side fringe (bangs) chopped in - not to fear though cause my hair grows like a wild fire so I wasn't scared if I didn't like it. This picture was taken in October of 2011.

Fourth Row Right: This picture was taken in June of this year at my college prom. Obviously I've had pictures taken since the previous one and this one but I just wanted to show how much my hair has grown since 2011, it's nearly back at it's longest. I love my hair the most when it's curl but this day was full of drama. I went to a hair dressers a few hours before my prom and when I got home all my curls had fallen out my big cousin had to come to my house and she created this master piece for me - I still can't thank her enough!! (Thanks Leanne!).

And last but certainly not least...

Below Left & Right: This was me on Friday at work (on the left) I work in a beauty salon which also has a hair dressing section in it and I adore the girls I work with, that much so I let Sarah whom I work with (who's from Liverpool , I could listen to her speak all day!!) give me a full fringe (bangs) which I'd been considering getting cut in for a while, for someone who doesn't like anything down and around her face it's a total change but I've received nothing but compliments about it. It's strange though as my eyebrows where my favourite part of my face and obviously the focal point of my face so it's strange not seeing them every day haha! As I only got it cut in the other day I'm still getting used to it but I love it. Not totally decided whether to keep it for my 21st in April though but I have a while to decide yet. One thing I'm sure of though is I'm grateful for having met Sarah as without her reassurance I don't  think I'd have made that plunge to get it done. So thanks again Sarah.

What do you all think of it? Do I Suit it? The girls from work now want me to go chocolate brown with a copper colour ombre , should I go for it, or one step at a time?

Im A Beauty Blogger... Get Me Out of Here! (week 3 - final week).

Okay so it's the final week of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, meaning it's the end of the road for I'm A Beauty Blogger Get Me Out of Here (emosh times!) Thanks to the lovely Rochelle and Natasha for creating this tag, check out their final post on it here.

1) Big congratulations! You won last week’s bush tucker trial. Your reward is the chance to create your own perfume. What ingredients/scents would you choose?
I'd choose vanilla, coconut and blackcurrent type smells for my perfume, super sweet smelling scent - great use of alliteration there haha!

2) Around the camp fire you’re all sharing tips. What is the best advice you can give someone to keep your skin healthy?
Drink plenty of water daily - as simple as that.
3) How do you think your camp mates would describe you?
Hopefully bubbly , comforting and hilarious.
4) You’re missing your family and friends so to bring a bit of comfort to the jungle you are given the opportunity to send one twitter message (max 140 characters). Who would you text and what would you say?
I'd tweet my Mum saying "Missing you all loads, can't wait to see you - hope I'm doing you proud, love and miss you lots xxxxxxx"
5) You’ve made it to the final two and are awarded the classic three course meal. What would you choose for starter, main and dessert?
Cream of chicken soup, spag bol with grated cheese on top and sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for dessert.
6) You’re out of the jungle and the luxury hotel awaits! What will be the first thing you will do?
Sleep, anyone who knows me knows fine well that would be the first thing I'd do.
7) Now you’re out of the jungle and have all your luxuries back, what would be one product you have lived without and could continue to live without?
Bronzer , plus I'd have a nice tan from the Australian sun.
8) Challenge – you have the choice of setting the challenge. What is your challenge and to whom?
I'd challenge all camp mates on a profession of one of the other camp mates to see how much they've learned whilst in the jungle.

Hope you guys enjoyed this wee series, sad it's over as it was fun!

Christmas Tag.

Genuinely can't believe it's December already, and I point blank refused to do any Christmas related blogs until December was officially upon us. Which I still can't believe it is. They don't kid on when they say the older you get the faster the years go by, its so scary.

Anyway, this tag was created by the lovely Georgina (who I'll tag once I can) and it's put me right in the Christmas spirit! Everyone that reads this post I tag!

1. Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?
I prefer a synthetic one simply because it's what I'm used to. I think real ones are quite bulky too which means it would take up a hell of a lot of room in my house.

2. You're in a coffee shop, it's December, what do you pick?
I'd just pick a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows because I'm rather fussy and wouldn't try anything else.

3. Whats your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?
Since it's a family tree it's more so reds and golden colours. If it was my own tree I'd opt for purple and silver though.

4. Giving or receiving?
Not even going to lie, I'd rather receive than give as I'm quite stingy with money so only the special people in my life will get my money spent on them.

5. To mince pie or not to?
Not to mince pie. I hateeeee the look of them and the sound of them puts me off even more I wouldn't dare eat one.

6. What's your traditional Sunday lunch?
As in Christmas dinner I'm assuming? I just stay in the house with my mum, dad and big brother and have a 3 course meal - I have soup for starters, turkey potatoes etc for main course and usually profiteroles for desert - around our kitchen table

7. Christmas day fashion
I usually just wear trousers and a fancy top for going mass on Christmas morning, and then when I'm back I just shove my pjs on!

8. What's your favourite Christmas song?
I love Fairy Tale of New York by The Pogues or I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day by Wizzard both amazing songs!

9. What's your favourite Christmas film?
Jack Frost even though it breaks my heart every blummin time! I also love Miracle on 34th Street.

10. Open presents before or after lunch?
Definitely before, the past few years me and my big brother have opened our presents just as the clock has struck Midnight how naughty of us! Santa must visit my house early ;) haha.

Hope you liked my first Christmas post and hopefully there will be a few more by the time the big day has approached!
