Weight Loss Wednesday - Week Four.

This week hasn't been the best - I'm not going to lie - it's my "time of the month" yeno. So I have slipped off the tracks a bit so I'm taking this post back to basics and uploading a few motivational pictures to get me back on track for next week. Having said that I went to boxing last Thursday which was fab, the only thing is, there was a super hot guy taking the class so I didn't put my "all" into the class which I would have done if the guy wasn't as nice looking, I could kick myself now! Thursday is my usual nights for a class so that's why I'm usually not on in time for the #bloggersWLW chats on twitter which is quite annoying but heyho it's for a good reason I suppose.

I need to keep this in mind - there's a few things I've ate this week that I've instantly regretted.

Preach it haha - let's get sweaty!

Love this - it's okay not to train solid constantly, take a break if you need it!

I'm putting this to plan - it hasn't worked to stick to it religiously
so allowing myself a wee cheat day is plan b.

Lastly for my inspirational pictures is this gorgeous dress, because ideally
I want a similar dress for my 21st (if anyone see's one can you let me know btw,
this one is $7,000 so like £4,000 which I can't afford haha)

Change in Weight (since previous Wednesday)
1lb so 5lbs all in, not sure if this will be correct though due to my "time of the month".

Liebster Award - Numbers 3, 4 & 5.

In the past 2 weeks or so I've been tagged for the Liebster Award 3 times so I decided I'm just going to combine them and as this is going to technically be the 5th one I've done I'm refusing to do anymore, there's only so many times I can do them without getting bored - I'm also not going to tag anyone directly this time, but do feel free to answer any the three lots of questions I've been ask.

What is it?
An award for getting blogs with under 200 followers known in the blogging community.

-you must thank the blogger who nominated you and link their blog in your post
-you must answer the 11 questions they gave you
-you must give 11 questions
-give 11 random facts abour yourself
-you must nominate 11 bloggers with under 200 followers that you feel deserve it. (I tag you all).

11 Facts About Myself;

1) I've only ever been on a plane once, when I was 6 (I'm now 20).
2) 89 days till my 21st birthday - and my party!
3) I'm going to see Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and McBusted this year.
4) I've saw over 100 people live in concert.
5) I've lost 5lbs so far this year by just cutting out rubbish and exercising.
6) I got waaaaaaaaay too many Lush products for Christmas but I love it!
7) I tidied my room today for my next post - a room tour.
8) I'm addicted to CBB this year - Sam or Ollie to win!
9) At 20 I feel too old to be watching youtube vlogs, I feel like I'm just being nosey haha.
10) I want Tyler Oakley (youtuber) to be my best friend.
11) I'm on an acrylic nail ban until my party cause my nails are shit just now.

The girls that have nominated me are; Anna , Asia Jade and Jess - so I'll answer their questions in that order.

Anna's Questions;

1. At what age have you started wearing makeup?
I'd say when I was about 10 I wore it for drama shows in primary school, but I started getting proper into it about 12 or 13.

2. In which colour you own the most clothes?
Surprisingly blue or grey.

3. How often do you buy new makeup products?
Monthly or if and when I need something.

4. If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, which one would it be?
Probably Practical Magic - that film will always be one of my favourites!

5. Is there a story behind your blog's name?
Nope it's just my name with world attached.

Purple/plum colours.

7. How do you style your hair on every day basics?
Usually in a bun or in a ponytail.

8. Perfect breakfast?
Scrambled egg and toast.

9. 2013 in one sentence.
Full of ups and downs, but it was fun.

10. Skirts or pants?
Well I'm assuming Anna is American or something as pants in the UK would mean you knickers - so I'm changing pants to trousers - and out of the both I'd rather wear trousers only because I can never find a skirt style that suits my shape.

11. Who is your fav beauty guru? (blog and vlog one)
Hmm, I'm actually not sure about my favourite blogger but my favourite vlogger is Tanya Burr.

Asia Jade's Questions;

Jeggings - half jeans half leggings = comfort!

5. How long have you been blogging for?
I started in June of last year.

6. What do you most like about blogging?
I like being able to share my knowledge and also making friends via blogging is a bonus too!

7. What's your favourite takeaway?
I like to have chicken pakora, chips and pakora sauce from the local indian takeaway.

8. Do you have any plans for your blog in the future?
Just to try and post more regular.

9. Why did you start blogging?
Reading Zoe, Tanya and Louise's blogs actually made me want to start blogging - and of course out of boredum.

10. How long have you been blogging for?
8 months - that seems so scary haha! It totally doesn't seem that long ago.

11. Do any of your friends blog?
Nope and I could count on one hand how many know about my blog.

Jess' Questions;

If you could only wear one piece of make up, what would it be?
Eyebrow shadow.

Lip gloss or Lip balm?
Lip gloss.

What's your favourite book?
Amy by Mary Hooper. It's about the dangers of meeting people from online.

Where do you see you and your blog in 5 years time?
I have no idea - hopefully doing really well , ideally I'd like my blog to have its followers up to thousands.

Do you love tea or coffee?
I hate tea and just started drinking really milky coffee - like made with milk not water, I'm such a baby haha!

Your biggest achievement in blogging?
Reaching 100 BL followers I guess, I'm almost at 200 now.

Are you looking forward to SS14?
I am indeed, the sun better move its bum!

If you could only eat one thing for a year, what would it be?
tuna pasta - just because I'm healthy eating.

Do you prefer to use a cleanser or face wipes to remove your makeup?
I prefer to use face wipes cause I'm lazy but I am trying to use cleanser etc.

What is your favourite jewelry piece you own?
I genuinely have no idea, I don't often wear jewellery - the only piece I wear daily is a small stud earing at the top of my ear but it's not my favourite haha.

Do you have any goals for 2014?
Just to lose weight and enjoy it as much as possible.

Weight Loss Wednesday - Week Three.

(or Friday in this case). Apologies for the late post ladies, I've been super busy. But anyway this weeks post will be a mixture of two things - "my weight diary" and also "weight loss in the media" - wee bit of a change in direction from what my WLW posts usually consist of.

My Weight Diary:

                                                              2006 - 2006 - 2009
at a first holy communion - Christmas party - at the caravan

                                          2010 - 2012 - 2013
house party - night out - college prom

As you can see my weight has varied since 2006 - I've been a mixture of the perfect weight and overweight, but even though I have been what the average person would call skinny I've always saw myself as the "fat" friend, as a young teenager I'd constantly compare myself to my friends - and in my eyes they were all the ideal weight and all the boys fancied them! Of course I'd always get the odd name thrown my direction as well, which looking back I'd say I was bullied (not looking for sympathy for this) but at the time it was the norm, not nice, but I was used to it. However, me being me the way I dealt with it was by comfort eating - being totally oblivious to the fact I was gaining more weight, good one Natalie. Realising I was at a not so healthy weight I started cutting out all fizzy drinks and drank water constantly and although I didn't notice at the time it changed my weight dramatically, if you compare the pictures from 2009 till 2010 you'll see what I mean. I then turned 18 and started partying constantly at house parties drinking alcohol (18 being the legal age in the UK) and of course curing my hangover with lots of takeaways and yip you guessed it fizzy juice, before not long I had put the weight I had unknowingly lost back on and that's when I realised it, I could no longer fit in size UK12-14 clothes and I wasn't liking it, I would cry every time I went shopping in the dressing rooms to my mum (I'm such an embarrassment I know haha!) and make myself feel rubbish, leading to comfort eating - it's a vicious circle haha! So that leads me to where I am today wanting to lose weight and better my health to get back to being the "skinny" friend that I didn't know that I was and enjoying life a bit more.

Looking back at all the pictures I'd most definitely say the 2010 picture is my ideal weight and I want to work hard to achieve that.

Weight Loss in the Media:

me and lauren goodger in 2013

I'll keep this section short, I promise lmao! The media are forever slating celebrities for their weight and we wonder why the numbers of anorexia and bulimia sufferers are rising? Take Lauren Goodger (pictured alongside myself) for example, Lauren of TOWIE (reality UK Tv Show) fame - when she first started out on TOWIE she was super confident and a girl many of us envied, myself included, fast forward a few years she puts on a stone or two and she gets hate from the media every two seconds making her shy away and lose her super confidence, and yet she's what? still only about a UK size 14 at most, all I can say is no wonder young girls starve themselves etc because the media are showing a healthy size 14 to be fat, it's disgusting, especially considering size 16 is supposed to be the average size in the UK - not at this rate it won't be. I just think good job I'm not in the public eye because if the beyond beautiful Lauren Goodger is fat what the heck would that make me?!

Quick update to top this lengthy post off:

I've just pretty much done the same as before, but this week I swapped Irn-Bru for Diet Coke and went to Body Attack instead of Combat - again it was brutal and I was in agony for days after! haha.

Change in Weight (since previous Wednesday):
2lb, so 4lb all in so far!

#2014BloggerChallenge - Skin Care.

Regular readers of my blog will know I'm not big on skin care, I do follow a routine but if I miss a step or a day of cleansing or whatever I'm not too fussed - so this post won't be very long I'm afraid.

Before and After of my cleansing routine.
(instead of your normal pictures of the products used
- this is encouraging my laziness haha)

My Skin Care Routine (face):
Wash my face with luke warm water and Lush "Let the Good Times Roll" cleanser.
Pat dry.
Moisturise with Environ RAD moisturiser - which contains an SPF15 (protects for UVA & UVB)

Remove makeup with my Darphin 3in1 Micellar water.
Remove eye makeup with Simple Eye Makeup Remover as I find this more gentle on the eyes.
Apply a purifying mask of some sort - usually ones from ASDA which cost 99p.
Rinse off with luke warm water after allocated time.
Apply BalanceMe Radiance Face Oil to dry areas.
Apply my Environ RAD moisturiser again.

My Skin Care Routine (body):

Exfoliate once weekly in the shower using a coconut body scrub - can't remember brand name (also can't be arsed running downstairs to check haha).
Moisturise after every shower/bath using My Coconut Island body butter by Treaclemoon.

I also moisturise my hands twice daily using Soap&Glory Hand Food.

Weight Loss Wednesday - Week Two.

Two weeks in and think it's fair to say I'm super pleased with myself - other than the odd can of Irn-Bru and drink of strongbow and blackcurrent I've actually successfully stuck to a way of healthy eating for the past two weeks, who'd have thought eh?!

One thing that definitely helped me was the movitation from the team of support I have behind me in the form of the other WLW participants (as well as my family) - you lot are wee gems! Refer back to my last post for a list of the girls who are on this journey with me and also to find out more about what Weight Loss Wednesday is and my reason behind doing it - WLW week one post.

What I've Done So Far:

Okay since my last post I've slipped away from using my fitness pal app I need to get back into using that, I also saw on Lucie's blog, or twitter (I'm unsure of which) that you can scan foods with that app so that's definitely a bonus I'll start using it again from today!

Also, I've been drinking a lot more water, I've been having a lot of migraines recently - probably because I'm not used to not having sugar in my body so I've been drinking loads of water to flush out all the toxins so my skins looking a lot brighter - woopwoop!

As well as that if you participated in the #bloggersWLW chat last Thursday at 8pm (every week) you'd know I was absent for the most part as I was at Body Combat with my friend - I'm not going to lie it was brutal! haha. I was in agony for days but I could feel about 10 minutes into the workout it was working my muscles like nothing else. It was all punching and kicking type moves, similar to if you went to a boxing class I'm assuming. It was fast paced but I managed to keep up with the rest - who had clearly been there before, minus my friend. Not sure I'm going this week but I'll definitely go a swim or something to make up for it - I'm low on money this week or I'd be there! On the plus side I should be there for the #bloggersWLW chat starting at 8 if I don't go to Body Combat. Unfortunately from then on I'll probably run late for the chat every week since Body Combat only finishes at quarter past 8 and the gym is about a 10 minute drive from my house.

Still can't get away from Irn-Bru though, does anyone know of any drinks I could replace it with other than water like something I'd still get a taste from?

I also need exercise advice if anyone fancies passing it on - what I want to know is if I'm losing weight I don't want to lose my boobies just tone them up so they don't sag (soz to be graphic haha) can anyone help me out with this?!

Motivation this week:

Another thing which motivated me this week was my big cousin telling me I looked as if I had lost weight, which means people are starting to notice yay!

Also it's been what 4/5 weeks since Christmas? There is still an a hell of a lot of choccies left over which are in my room - boxed, so it's safe to say I've not touched them - probably the longest chocolate has ever lasted in my house haha!

Change in Weight (since previous Wednesday):

This week I stayed the same in weight, so I'm going to work extra hard this week - will make sure I do more fitness classes like I said in the chat - my plan is to do 3 workout classes and 1 swim so we'll see how it goes.

Top 10 Youtubers (Beauty Related).

Tanya Burr

Tanya's channel has a little bit of everything on it. However it is more beauty based - I came across her channel when looking for a prom makeup, similar to a Millie MacIntosh (Manderson) inspired look and tada I came across a video of Tanya doing Millie's makeup. I think Tanya is one of the best youtube makeup guru's to watch if you're just starting out as her tutorials are easy to follow and she caters for those who can't always afford high end products as well as those who can. She also has her own lipstick and nail polish range coming out at the end of the month so look out for it. (I also watch Tanya's vlogging channel which I highly recommend if your nosey like myself haha).

After watching Tanya and her friends youtube channels I came across, Tanya's fiance Jim - which then led me to finding his sisters channel Pixiwoo - liked I said they are sisters Sam and Nic Chapman - Sam of whom is the creater of the "Real Techniques" makeup brushes which are loved by all. Again, I feel their tutorials are easy to follow and the majority of the looks they create, which are usually celebrity inspired, can be created with drugstore makeup.

Nikkie Tutorials

I literally just came across Nikkie's channel today but I adore her work so I had to include her. My favourite thing about her channel is she does a lot of tutorials showing how to recreate looks from music videos which is where I myself like to pinch looks from so having a look on Nikkie's channel I was in my element.

Michelle Phan

If anything Michelle is the most relaxing person to listen to that I've came across on youtube it's like she puts you into a trance to watch her videos - maybe that's why I like them so much?! haha - with Michelle's videos she seems to have a story to capture you and somehow it just works. She has also recently brought out her own makeup range which I advise you check out.

Shan's makeup is honestly flawless which is one of the main reasons I watch her - she always does loads of "Get Ready With Me" videos giving great tips to help your makeup last throughout the day. One other thing I really enjoy about Shan's channel as well is she does a lot of tags which I really enjoy watching.

Fleur De Force

If there's one good reason why you should watch Fleur's channel it's to watch the videos about her wedding - OMG fairytale - other than that she comes across as a lovely person and has a lot of variety on her channel - a lover of haul videos and great with her product descriptions.

Queen of Blending

Lauren from Queen of Blending is crazy in terms of makeup so I wouldn't necessarily recommend her looks for every day wear but for a dramatic eye I totally suggest you pop over to Lauren's youtube page. Glitter galore - also whilst your over there check out her talons, they're epic!

Kandee Johnston

Again, like Nikkie, Kandee is fabulous at celebrity recreations - ideal channel for Halloween looks as well, creating looks such as Edward Scissor Hands, Queen of Hearts and Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball look. Another thing you will notice about Kandee she has beyond amazing white teeth so her teeth whitening video is one to check out.

Lauren Curtis

By checking Lauren's channel out you wouldn't be surprised to know she is friends with Shan - and her channel is where I actually came across Shan's. I don't know if it's just me but they look really similar but anyway... Lauren's neutral tutorials are definitely my favourite - she pulls of a neutral smokey eye to a t. If I'm ever stuck for a simple yet flawless look Lauren's channel is actually the one I would come to first - true story.

"Eye" love Chrisspy's channel, emphasises on the "Eye" instead of I. My favourite thing about Chrisspy's channel is the way she concentrates on her eye makeup - they are detailed to perfection and I've actually attempted to create one of her looks in my NYE Makeup post which you can find here. I'm going to actually use this particular look for my 21st as I love it so much. Check Chrisspy's channel out for a going out eye makeup and you're sorted.

Weight Loss Wednesday.

EEEEEEK, I'm so excited (not crazy at all)!

If you all follow the lovely Jennifer from Barely There Beauty (if you don't you should) then you will be aware that she has come up with a blogger weight loss group to kick start our diets for 2014. The prospect of Weight Loss Wednesday - known to the twitter world as #BloggersWLW - is to help motivate each other by writing weekly posts giving tips and advice on healthy eating or keeping everyone up to date with your own goal, literally anything weight loss related goes. There will also be a #BloggersWLW chat on twitter every Thursday night at 8pm - so if you all want to join in and get fit for fun then head over to Jennifer's blog which I've linked and pop her a wee message.

So anyway, I guess here's my first WLW post, ahhh!

My reason:

The reason behind wanting to lose weight is my 21st is in April and I'm holding a party , obviously with it being my party I'm going to want to wear a stunning dress and I can't get the style I want being the weight that I am so that's what's motivating me.

My Goal:

Ideally I would want to lose 6 stone (84lbs) altogether, but with my party being only 3 and a bit months away I'll happily settle with 3 (42lbs) or 4 stone (56lbs) in time for my party.

What I've Done so far:

If you're a fan of TOWIE (the only way is essex - uk reality tv show) then I should let you know I've bought the "Essexercise" workout dvd from Poundland - for £1 of course, apologies if you don't have a Poundland near you, I'm sure you'll get it online somewhere. I've done it once since I got it and I was in agony the next day but it totally worked, I could feel when doing it that it was working my muscles.

Before I done my workout DVD I also bought a workout outfit from ASDA , I can't remember the cost however I know it wasn't that dear as I wouldn't have bought it if it was - it's just a sports bra (which if I was going to the gym I'd wear a top over) and I also got running trousers, the lycra material kind. The thing I love about the trousers is that it also has a "music pocket" so you can pop a small ipod or mp3 player of some sort in, ideal.

As well as that I've weighed myself - however, I'm not divulging that information with you all, maybe when I've lost a few stone I'll let you in on that secret haha! It is a lot though and that's all im saying my lips are sealed (for a change)!

Tried drinking more water but with a love for irn-bru I'm finding it hard, any tips?!

Change in Weight (since previous wednesday):

This week I've only lost 2lbs as I've been out for my lunch 4 times catching up with friends (why is it when you want to healthy eat everyone wants to go on mate date's at a restaurant?!)

it's mad to think this is 1lbs of fat - I'll preferably shift two of these a week.

Ideally I'd love the body of Billie Faiers (of TOWIE fame, UK reality TV show). She's not overly skinny, she has curves in all the right places and genuinely doesn't care if she pops on a bit of weight now and again.

The Lipstick Tag.

I was tagged by the lovely Becky to do this tag, and even though I'm not much of a lipstick person as I tend to stick with the same colours I thought why not, everyone loves a tag especially me!

How many lipsticks do you have?
Having just counted I have 14 lipsticks - that's pathetic! haha

What was your first lipstick?
Not going to lie - I have no idea, probably one of my Mum's old ones when I was about 8.

What is your most worn lipstick?
My most worn lipstick is Maybelline - Midnight Plum , I love it!

What is your favourite brand of lipstick?
I actually really like Rimmel lipsticks, even in comparison to M.A.C ones - shocker!

What is your favourite finish?
The finish doesn't really bother me tbh, I do like a matte finish but matte lippy's tend to dry my lips out.

How many lip products do you have in your bag?
4 , I have 3 lipsticks and a lip balm.

What product do you use to rock a red lip?
I use an MUA lipstick in Red, it does the job just as well as any others I find.

How do you store your lipsticks?
I have a small basket which I keep in my drawer that has them in it - I really need to invest in a lipstick storage box.

What lip products are you currently lusting after?
I want a few M.A.C lipsticks but I'd be there a while trying to pick which ones.

NYE Makeup.

You only have to look at these pictures to know I'm not pro at makeup but I thought I'd give this look a shot, I followed a youtube tutorial which you can find hereI personally find it easier to do a makeup look that I've not done before or is out of my comfort zone by following a tutorial even if it's not spot on, you can even put your own spin on things if you so desire.

Before anyone looks at the video and thinks "your attempt is shit compared to the video", bravo to you - I'm aware of that thanks, but it was my first time trying it out and practice makes perfect after all.
