Let's Have a Catch Up.

Any regulars will realise I've been a bit MIA recently, I've not purposely done a disappearing act, I've just had a bit much on - who knew planning my own 21st party would cause so much stress? So I thought I'd sit down today and write a post on what's been happening in my time of absence.

Planning, planning, planning - as said above I've been planning my 21st - I wish I could afford a party planner, but I'm almost done - just have to get a few banners, food in for the buffet (which my Mum will get in nearer the time) and hand out the rest of my invites - I'm so terrified in case nobody turns up, eeek! I love a good party though so I'll get drunk and probably not realise who's even bothered to turn up haha! My dress is beautiful - but after my party I'll have a post up on all the shenanigans and of course a picture of me dolled up to the nines! I was going to go to MAC for my makeup to be done, but the nearest MAC to me is about a half hour train journey so I'd be rushing about like a headless chicken, so I'm going to just buy MAC makeup with a voucher my brother got me for christmas and do my own, I am a beautician at the end of the day so I'm more than qualified to do the job haha!

Babies - not mines! I done a post recently where I mentioned becoming a big cousin again in February, and in January two of my best friends had babies, so I've been doing my Auntie Natalie duties going visiting babies constantly, they are cute as buttons all three of them! However, it's definitely confirmed for me I don't want a baby of my own for a good few years yet haha! I'm so proud of my best friends though, they will be fab Mummies! Oh, and as one of them had a boy and one had a girl - I've been playing cupid trying to set them up on their first date already lmao.

Job hunt - Trying to find a job is as stressful as ever, someone employ me!! .. That's all I have to say on that matter.

Gigs & Manchester advice - Anyone that knows me personally will know I'm obsessed with going to gigs - I've probably saw a good 100 odd people live, many I've saw multiple times, so this year I've got planned so far Justin Timberlake on the 4th of April, McBusted on the 8th of May and Katy Perry on the 16th of May - I need help here though - I'm going to see McBusted in Manchester, and I've never been there in my life, me and my two friends are making a weekend of it, so if any of you have been to/stay in Manchester could you let me know of good places to stay/eat/go out , that are all relatively cheap, thanks!

Think that's all that I need to update you all on for now. I'm going to get back to posting regularly as of next week. I'm potentially going to try and have one or two days were I post weekly and then any out of the blue post's which can appear anytime.

What have you been up to? Let me know in the comments!

The 90s Tag.

I've saw a lot of people doing posts on the 90s recently such as trends from the 90s so when I came across the 90s tag on youtube the other day I thought I'd bring it to the land of blogging, apologies if it's been done - I haven't saw it in "blog" version yet. If you were a 90s child then I tag you!!

1. What year were you born in?
I was born in 1993, which means I spent the first 7 years of my life in the 90s.

2. Do you have any pictures of yourself from when you were younger? If you do, show them.
Small collage of pictures from when I was at dancing when I was younger, and me with my big brother - note, I have no interest in football these days haha.

3. What TV shows did you grow up watching?
When I was really young it was things like The Powerpuff Girls, Scooby Doo, Teletubbies, Bear in the Big Blue House, Recess etc, then it moved on to things like That's So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Lizzie McGuire blablabla...

4. What did you want to be when you grow up and do you still want to be that?
The earliest that I can remember is wanting to be a ballerina then a backing dancer for Britney Spears - I still wouldn't mind doing that last one haha.

5. Show a video of yourself when you were younger.
I would have no idea where to begin to put a video on here so I'll just inform you of one - at my first birthday party there's a video of me taking loads of malteser sweets (candy) from the bowl on the table and me putting them in the pockets of my beautiful white dress, funnily enough they've always been my favourite sweet.

6. What were your favourite toys to play with?
I loved things like Polly Pockets, Dream Catchers, Barbies - they usual girly things, but most of my time when I was younger was spent outside playing as there were lots of children in my street when I was younger.

7. What's the most embarrassing thing that you can remember doing?
Playing a game that had a rude word in the name and coming in and telling my Mum that's what we were playing outside, unaware at the time the word was a bad one - I think she almost had a heart attack haha! I was mortified.

8. Read something you wrote when you were in Kindergarten:
Kindergarten would be Nursery to me since I live in Scotland - but I actually can't put my hands on anything at this moment in time because my Mum keeps them all up in the loft which I can't get in to.

9. Three songs you loved to listen to as a child.
Britney Spears - Baby,
S Club 7 - Reach,
A1 - Ready or Not.
I swear these songs are amazing! You literally missed out if you weren't born in the 90s as we had the best music back in the day.

10. What was one funny thing you dressed up as for Halloween when you were younger?
I dressed up as Pebbles from The Flintstones and my big brother dressed up as Fred Flintstone.

11. Tell a funny story of something you remember happening when you were young.
This isn't particularly a funny story but it's something funny that I remember doing all the time as a child, me, my brother and 3 cousins used to always put on shows and make up songs and perform them in the living room of my house, when we weren't doing that we used to reenact movies from back in the day and we'd all have our own character from the film that we would be - so embarrassing thinking about it now. (p.s I can still vaguely remember some of the lyrics to one of the songs we had made up hahaha).

12. Are there any special things you've kept from when you were a child?
Yeah I keep a memory box of loads of things but my Mum has pretty much everything from like School etc.

13. What was something weird you used to do as a child?
Can't believe I'm going to say this but I used to get my Mum to chew the coating off chewing gum for me and when it go to the chewy part she'd give me it back as that's the only bit I liked - of course that doesn't happen now haha.

14. What's the scariest thing you remember that happened to you when you were younger?
Warning - Graphic!! When I was 9 (So technically not the 90s at this point but I was still younger) I fell off a climbing frame and ended up in hospital as my bone had came out my arm - yip, I could literally see the bone sticking through my arm covered in blood (once they had cut off my jumper), disgusting I know.

15. How is the world now different from how it was like when you were a child?
There's loads different, like the internet, phones, everything! When I was younger you couldn't use the house phone if someone was on the internet - known as dial up haha! Phone's where basic you could literally only phone and text someone and play a game of snake - and you could probably knock someone out with the weight of the phone, people actually phoned peoples house's to speak to them or even better, go to their house. Also you don't get children out playing all the games I did as a child which makes me so glad I'm not growing up as part of the young generation these days.
90s Child? You're tagged!

Weight Loss Wednesday - Week Nine.

I know I've been absolutely crap at posting these on time recently, but in the early hours of Wednesday morning as in 4 o'clock kind of early, I was up and ready and heading to the airport - where was I going? No where at all. Unfortunately I was only dropping my big brother off as he was heading to Rome, jammy sod. So anyhoo, we had a family dinner and an early night Tuesday so didn't have the time to pre plan a post, then on Wednesday after getting back in the house after 7 in the morning I headed back to bed, slept until 1 o'clock then got up and went to be my friends client and college, I got a facial alongside a non surgical face lift, and then rightly so went home and slept again all day long hence there being no post until now.

To be honest the healthy eating plan I'm supposed to be on has been shit this week, to put it bluntly. I went back to body attack on Monday night and it killed! The only place I'm going wrong is I'm still eating unhealthy dinners and I can't get away from it, I'm a mega fussy eater and when I'm eating healthy the only thing I tend to eat is pasta for dinner - either that or a weight watchers chicken curry, on the downside of the curry though I have chips with it - it's a blummin vicious circle, please someone help before I go off track completely?!?!

-Again, haven't weighed myself this week as it's "that time of the month" so referring back to last month I was advised off a few of you girlies not to weigh myself at this point cause it's likely not to be accurate.

#2014BloggerChallenge - Nails.

All of you beady eyed people will realise I didn't participate in the last challenge, cause to keep it straight to the point I was having a shit week! So I'm back and I'm raring to go. The challenge, going by the title is "Nails" this week. You can do any post you want as long as it involves nails, from nail care to your nail polish collection, to nail art - which is what I'm going to be talking about today.

When I first started my blog and wrote my "About Me" page I stated that my blog would occasionally involve nail art, I've had my blog since June last year and guess what? Still no nail art posts, well done on keeping your word Natalie. However, do not dwell as it's here at freaking last! I done nail art at college and not going to lie some of my designs were absolutely crap - and some were not so bad, like anything I need to be in the right mood to be creative and come up with good designs, and if I'm feeling creative but lacking creation I take to youtube tutorials and they tend to give me some good inspiration, especially the channel cutepolish , the designs on there are insane but super easy to follow if your lacking knowledge or what not. It's probably obvious but all the designs I have done are done free hand and all the ones pictured are first attempts, which I'm proud of for being so. I've actually not done any nail art since last summer because I usually only tend to do nail art in the summer and usually stick to a block colour in the winter but that's just my preference, however if you want a step to step guided post on how I achieved any of the following looks (some are self explanatory) then I'll be sure to do that for you, I promise!
